Engine Placement

[edit]

In Jeremy Clarkson's DVD Heaven And Hell (2005), he mentions that the engine is placed so far behind the front axle that it's a mid-engined car. I don't want to agree with this but wanted to bring it up anyway - 81.208.166.57 02:14, 16 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A lot of cars are like that. Look at FMR layout. Chaparral2J (talk) 05:04, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pronounciation?

[edit]

Is it really pronounced "sky-yeti" Is the L silent? I always thought it was pronounced "scally-eti" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 206.207.159.156 (talk) 01:14, 9 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Scaglietti is pronounced ska-llyetty (IPA: [ˌskaˈʎjɛtti]), A as in America, I as in Ignorance, double L, E as in Elephant, double T, I as in Ignorance.

No, it's (IPA: [skaʎˈʎetti]) in Italian according to the Dizionario d'ortografia e pronunzia and Dizionario di pronuncia italiana--Carnby (talk) 20:15, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

simillarity to 599

[edit]

the car looks simillar to the ferrari 599, can someone put a bit in explaining why? Btzkillerv (talk) 12:13, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Success, as in what?

[edit]

> The 612 was not as successful as other cars in its class.

I don't know how to interpret this statement? Ferrari factory has a very limited manufacturing capacity, like 5k cars per year, with pre-set quotas per each model and all of them had been sold well in advance. Popularity or success doesn't make sense in this respect, I mean how do you measure it?

Furthermore, there are generally good opinions about the F612, good looks, real 4-seat capability and daily use practicality. Complaints include the paint peels off the doors. However, the article's red photo should be swapped because red or black body simply looks silly on a whale of a car like the 612. According to most owners "Mirableu" blue is the "rightest" color scheme. 91.82.32.253 (talk) 00:25, 25 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ferrari 612 F133 Engine

[edit]

The article relates the type F133F engine, but in fact Sessantas and '08 on cars were equipped with a revised F133H engine type.

There is no mention of this or the differences in the motor that lead to the revision of engine designation.

Any help with information in this regard would be appreciated... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.141.224.6 (talk) 11:37, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

15,000 red miles in China

[edit]

Someone please add a section about the grand undertaking of two 612 Scagliettis in 2005 where they traveled all over China to showcase what grand tourers are capable of despite not being all-terrain vehicles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:8388:501:2700:C50:ABC9:C80F:5CFA (talk) 20:21, 15 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
