I reverted 2 edits in which a troll added obviously made-up content to this article without any references. The German Wikipedia has a much better article on Almdudler (or read in broken English via Google Translate), although I am not fluent in German so translating it into English correctly would best be done by someone fluent in both languages. I have been to Austria and drunken Almdudler myself and it is a sweet carbonated soda with a light tan color and a nice taste, and is caffeine free. --69.205.231.117 (talk) 08:25, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And what, if I may ask, is the meaning of auf der Alm dudeln? <KF> 19:49, Jun 4, 2005 (UTC)

Just a guess, it could mean a kind of traditional singing stile.62.178.137.216 13:06, 25 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No i dont think so. iam not really sure because iam not austrian but i guess its something like: "chilling (having fun) on the meadow in the mountain".

"dudeln" is a synonym to "jodeln" (to yodel) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.65.241.153 (talk) 17:10, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"dudeln" is a softer way of "jodeln". "Dudeln" is located in Vienna. It was nearly extinct some years ago, but is gaining popularity right now. The German article on Almdudler looks like a promotion text, which mentions too much awards and emphasizes its popularity.
