[edit]U.S. reporter Gershkovich secretly tried in Russia
- U.S. investigative journalist Evan Gershkovich, jailed in March 2023 on espionage charges, went on trial behind closed doors June 26 in Yekaterinburg, 1,100 miles (1,800 km) east of Moscow. Gershkovich, 32 and his employer, the Wall Street Journal, have denounced the charges as false. On July 16, the U.S. ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, accused Russian President Putin of treating “human beings as bargaining chips.” Closing trial statements were slated for July 19, and Gershkovich faced up to 20 years in prison if declared guilty.

Thank you for pointing at Seiji Ozawa! I thanked him, and have the story of Helga Paris today, a photographer of houses and faces. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:05, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
The image, taken on a cemetery last year after the funeral of a distant but dear family member, commemorates today, with thanks for their achievements, four subjects mentioned on the Main page and Vami_IV, a friend here. Listen to music by Tchaikovsky (an article where one of the four is pictured), sung by today's subject (whose performance on stage I enjoyed two days ago). --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:45, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, Gerda. -- Sca (talk) 19:08, 20 February 2024 (UTC)

- Rossini's Petite messe solennelle was premiered on 14 March 1864, - when I listen to the desolate Agnus Dei I think of Vami. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:01, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
- I uploaded vacation pics (from back home), at least the first day, - and remember Aribert Reimann. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:13, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
