How does a ship "pose"?

[edit]

I think there is a word missing here:

Much of the city is recovered and rebuilt in the belly of the Macross, and the two ships are attached to the SDF-1 as they pose as military assets.

Why is it "posing" surely they have always been military assets? Would this be better?

Much of the city is recovered and rebuilt in the belly of the Macross, and the two ships are attached to the SDF-1 as additional military assets.

With respect to this one sentence does anyone object to the new wording? Ryper (talk) 05:24, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UK TV Broadcasts

[edit]

Have added The Childrens Channel to the list of the broadcasters of Robotech, as it was broadcast during the mid 1980's (86-87).Patdfb (talk) 21:21, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shocked and surprised

[edit]

I am surprised the official Robotech website is not used more often to support information regarding characters as a whole look [1]. I have only started watching this show on DVD recently and I am shocked and surprised from what I found that very little official information from the website is used to support information written on the using a reliable source. One of the problems I have is there are too many self published sources and is the burden of the writer to prove what they are saying is true

Latin America?

[edit]

When it first aired in Latin America, was it Macross or the Robotech adaptation? Jigen III (talk) 00:49, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It aired first as Robotech —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.178.4.8 (talk) 15:20, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

sentence apparently the opposite of what's meant

[edit]

In §Robotech: The Movie (1986, canceled in U.S.):

However, the film had to be changed after the distributor of the film, Cannon Films, saw an incomplete rough cut of the film and was very happy. They ordered Macek to remove multiple scenes from the film and to add more violence (most of the scenes removed were scenes setting up characters and showing the girls interacting). Macek reluctantly did what they ordered, and created a new script and rough edit for the film in less than 24 hours. When the distributors saw Macek act out the new film, they were much more pleased with the new cut.

It is plain from the rest of the paragraph that Cannon Films was not very happy, or indeed was very unhappy, with the incomplete rough cut. I am putting (back) in the word "not". Hopefully someone who knows the film's history, as I do not, will check this. --Thnidu (talk) 01:40, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that it what was meant. Apologies. 139.55.30.172 (talk) 15:58, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
