I removed the following text:

This article is merely about another name for one-to-one functions. It should be merged; this should become a redirect page.

mostly because this page and that page are working at two different levels of mathematical skill. This one attempts to be elementary, that one starts out being quite abstract. I think there is room in the wikipedia for two articles on this topic, on aimed at an elementary level, and one abstract. linas 01:35, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
