Primary Sources tag

[edit]

As this is the first time I've seen such a tag, I'll have to read up on the guidelines before modifying the article. I ask that you bear with myself and any other editors a little while. "Free Spirit Aliance" alone does get 1,340 Google hits, and I may have to skim a lot of them to find quality references.

I can attest that FSA exists, as I personally attended the Beltane festival. It will just take a little time to fulfill this requirement properly. Simesa (talk) 02:14, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The primary criterion listed at Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) will assist you what types of sources are acceptable. -- Longhair\talk 02:18, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, the helpful starting point is appreciated. Simesa (talk) 02:21, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought then that this would be a simple task. Well, "Free Spirit Alliance" now gets 25,700 Google hits, but I've begun digging again to find a news article - and they're elusive so far. Part of the problem is that these people (of which I'm one) don't proselytize, nor do they advertise their festivals. I'll keep looking this month. Simesa (talk) 13:16, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sacred Sexuality Beltane

[edit]

The text for this article currently states that the Sacred Sexuality Beltane "is the only festival of its type in the country." That statement may have been true several years ago, but I think it's out of date now. The calendar of events at www.templeredlotus.com lists several other events which may be similar.Folklore1 (talk) 01:57, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fires of Venus

[edit]

The text of the article states that FSA "...sponsors a September event named Fires of Venus." That is false. Fires of Venus is not sponsored by the Free Spirit Alliance (FSA) in any way - it is solely owned and operated by Turtle Hill Events Inc (THE). FSA contracts with THE for registration services and customer service prior to, and at, their own event, Free Spirit Gathering (FSG).
