LDS disambiguation

[edit]

Currently this page is redirect to Latter Day Saint, but LDS can also stand for Liberal Democracy of Slovenia (among other things). I propose that this page is changed from simple redirect to disambiguation page and the links are fixed to point to the right page. --Romanm 21:22, 16 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Go right ahead, Romanm. B|Talk 00:14, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

OK, I changed it to disabiguation page and listed in among the links to disambiguating pages. --Romanm 06:36, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

LdS vs. LDS?

[edit]

I have no idea what the difference is between Latter-day Saint and Latter Day Saint because they lead to the same article! If someone could fix this, it would help us all out. -Oatmeal batman 03:55, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) a sub-bullet under the Latter-Day-Saint movement? If we're doing a branching thing to imply descent, it should be the other way around: the leaders designated by the founder of the LDS church continued calling leaders to the present day. The then RLDS movement was founded by individuals who explicitly disavowed affiliation with the LDS movement: they were a break-off from that movement and would in that sense be regarded as a branch or descendant. But they would argue for their own right to claim direct descent from the movement's founder, so it may be a moot point. I'd think two seperate un-hierarchic bullets would be best, and outside of any objection that's how I'm changing it to be. --Narfnarfsillywilly (talk) 23:08, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, both these bullet points lead to articles expressly about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Consolidating to one bullet point (and maybe those articles should be merged anyway?) --Narfnarfsillywilly (talk) 23:12, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Laus Deo Semper

[edit]

LDS can also stand for "laus Deo semper", "praise to God always", a common motto among Jesuits and others. Worth mentioning?
