Samois

[edit]

Hi. You added "The group disbanded in 1983." to this article, however in the Second Coming (book) Pat states that it is still going at that point ("samois for 15 years," etc). I'm aware that the group isn't still around, but that seems to indicate to me that 1983 is way too early so I've removed it for the moment until we can find a more accurate date. Thanks for the inserts though! --VampWillow 01:17, 22 Jun 2004 (UTC)

"Tabula Rasa"

[edit]

Wow! Great article; that so didn't need a {{stub}} note! — OwenBlacker 09:21, Jun 24, 2004 (UTC)

Hey, thank you! Congrats on beating me to Hush, which I had been wanting to start, too, but I think you did a better job than I would have. Any episodes you were thinking of starting soon, so we don't double the work? Thanks again, -- Wolf Deunan 00:19, Jun 25, 2004 (UTC)
I'm not likely to start all that many pages, to be honest. I've been going through and tweaking your edits quite a lot recently (no offence is intended, you're writing damn good articles). I'll try to rem to let you know if I'm about to create any. "The Body" desperately needs adding, I might do that sometime soon; but none others desperately spring to mind. Once I've finished working on the British ID cards proposals (which I'm meant to be doing a lot more than I actually am atm), I might go through and do a load, but that won't be until late July at the earliest (my deadline is mid-July). — OwenBlacker 00:18, Jun 28, 2004 (UTC)
I appreciate your edits, since, as you might have noticed, there tend to be some rough edges to my English. I've been episode hopping so far, which turns out to be harder than I thought becuase of all the trivia, so I'll probably try to go more by seasons for a while. However, "The Body" is a biggy; that would be worth jumpnig again. The other one would be season 7 where Buffy gets the axe thingy, if just to rant about how terrible the writing is. -- Anyway, thank you again, Wolf Deunan 08:40, Jun 28, 2004 (UTC)
Hey, 's no problem, I quite enjoy it — gives me a chance to revisit the episodes from a different perspective! :o) — OwenBlacker 20:02, Jun 28, 2004 (UTC)

(Buffy episode) instead of (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

[edit]

I ran a script to add links (most red) to List of Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes.

I found a conflict with The Initiative (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), though... it's already a link to a page about the organization, but it's also the name of an episode. So I changed that link to The Initiative (Buffy episode).

Maybe it would be better to use "Episode name (Buffy episode)" rather than "Episode name (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)" for all of them. It's more specific in any case.

What do you think? I can re-run the script to change all the links on List of Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes, plus rename the episodes you've done so far.

-- Curps 03:06, 9 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Well -- as far as I can tell, most people have been using "(Buffy the Vampire Slayer)" as the tag, even though it is longer, so it sort of has the force of a convention. On the other hand, it is shorter, and more specific. I say we go for it: How about "(Buffy episode)" for the episodes and "(Buffy the Vampire Slayer)" for all other things Buffyoid -- characters, locations, etc? I'm not very good at these script things, so I'm afraid I'd have to leave that in your lap, but I could suggest this convention in the Talk areas of "Buffy" and the episode guide if you haven't done so already... -- Thanks for the work! Wolf Deunan 08:47, Jul 9, 2004 (UTC)

OK, I went ahead with the change.

There are Buffy episodes called Angel and The Initiative; there is an Angel episode called Darla... sooner or later you run into conflicts. The episodes have to be in their own separate namespace to prevent that. -- Curps 11:25, 9 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Moved page

[edit]

Hi. As you requested in the talk page, I have moved the "Tabula Rasa" article as follows: Tabula Rasa (Buffy episode) ---> Tabula Rasa (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). I have also corrected the link in the "List of Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes" article. By the way, are you planning on doing a similar work with the "Angel" episodes? Redux 12:47, 9 Jul 2004 (UTC)

I moved it back, and notified Redux about the reasons for it. -- Curps 13:01, 9 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Hi Redux -- thank you! I don't think I'll be doing "Angel", at least not anytime in the next two years; for some reason, I could never get too involved the way I did with "Buffy". Also, I have the Buffy episodes on DVD, and so writing an entry is mostly a matter of sitting down with my laptop and making notes while I watch it. And there are still about 120 "Buffy" episodes or so to go, grin. -- Curps: Thank you, too! -- Wolf Deunan 23:23, Jul 9, 2004 (UTC)

Got your message, good luck with the real world. I'll probably have to take a break myself sometime in the next few weeks. -- Curps 16:05, 18 Jul 2004 (UTC)
