Was this person an Albanian? The Albanian name would probably be Gjergj Gjika, but I have never heard of him. Dori | Talk 21:51, Jan 20, 2004 (UTC)

After a google search I read on some sites that he was Albanian Vlach/Aromanian. Bogdan | Talk 20:45, 21 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Ghica family is of Albanian origin. The history of this family was written by Eleni Ghica or Gjika "Dora D'Istria" a well known feminist figure of Albanian Reinassance. In "Gli Albanesi in Rumenia" a history of the dukes of Ghica in the 17th to 19th centuries (2. Ed., Florence 1873) she clearly identifies theeir Albanian origin. More credible resources and citations needed[edit]

The information in this article is not backed by adequate credible citations. Several of the resources are websites, not from scholars, historians, or the like. Citations are lacking for dates, names, places. AttempingUpright (talk) 22:22, 6 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
