Hello and welcome to Wikipedia.

You might find these pages useful:

You can always experiment in the sandbox.

If you like, you can introduce yourself at the new user log, or write something about yourself on your user page.

One more thing: if you leave a note on any kind of discussion page it's always helpful to sign your post with four tildes (~~~~), which is automatically converted to your username and the date and time. Don't do this in articles themselves though as they are not 'owned' by any particular contributor.

If you have any questions, see help, leave a question at the help desk, or feel free to drop me a line on my talk page.

Thanks and happy editing!

Ibn Battuta

[edit]

I reverted your changes because your changes are not suited to the lede for the article and the reference is to a blog which is not considered to be a reliable source. --Chewings72 (talk) 11:37, 25 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

According to the web site's own "about" page, it says that "Our Vision - TheBestTravelled.com (TBT) aims to become the leading interactive travel website for competitive travellers and the general public in terms of web design; the leader in quality and quantity of diverse travel stories, photos and travel experiences on every region in the world; the leading virtual library of non-commercial travel websites; and ultimately, a pioneer in fostering travel exchanges, knowledge, scholarships and opportunities, especially for users from developing countries." In other words, people use the web site to share stories, ideas and information about travelling. It is not an academic or scholarly publication nor is it a reliable source of information about historic individuals such as Ibn Battuta.
