Corrientes Refuge

[edit]

I can't find any reference to Corrientes Refuge existing on the Brunt Ice shelf. If fact the only reference to the place is from http://www.irizar.org/cav60-61.html

"It began on December 21 from Orcadas, following a general heading to the E until reaching the approximate longitude of 15º W where they only fell there, heading S. The ice found was not obstacles for the ship to navigate normally, except for a period of time. thirty hours in which he had to break the ice by pressing. When landing at Cape Norvegia, the coastal channel could be taken without major inconveniences, except in an area where, due to the presence of a large tabular and several agglutinated icebergs, the channel turned towards the N, but did not disappear as it had happened the previous year. The ship found totally free waters in an appreciated minimum width of 40 miles so he was able to set a direct course to the Ellsworth Scientific Base, from there and after fulfilling his mission, he set out on his way back, arriving again in Orkney on January 18. In his defeat, upon arriving at Cape Dalmazo, he established the “Corrientes” Army refuge there"
