Birds of Prey TV Series

[edit]

I'm beginning to think that there should be a separate article for the television series. The original author of the comment made made the instruction with the intention of writing a section comparing the comic book and TV series, and then apparently abandoned Wikipedia without following up on that intention; and now the TV series information is beginning to overwhelm the comic book information... --Paul A 02:43, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I agree. It's like giving one page to the four Batman movies as well as the 1960s series and the comics. It makes sense to have more than one article. I have moved all the contents of this article related to the tv show. Redfarmer 03:54, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)
This article has commented instructions NOT to create a separate article for the Birds of Prey (television series) but this has already been done. Is this a case of Merge and Redirect, or do we need two articles?

Huntress and Josh

[edit]

I'd like to slightly revise the info on Huntress' "weakness". Josh isn't really her boyfriend: she traded Josh a date to get info on the whereabouts of her partner, Black Canary. At the close of the date, in a moment of misdirected lust/weakness, Huntress bedded the guy. In issue 84 she tells him that the experience has pretty much put her off of sex--not only with him, but with anybody.--Galliaz 14:56, 20 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

One Year Later Membership

[edit]

I edited the article so that it retains recently added format changes and the new image, but doesn't list who the new team members will be or what Black Canary's status might be OYL. We can include this information after the OYL issues appear. An encyclopedia entry isn't the place to provide speculative (or even unsourced pre-publication) information, since this information cannot be properly referenced, sourced, or cited.--Galliaz 19:47, 9 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

When was Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) ever a recurring character in Birds of Prey?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.137.100.108 (talkcontribs)

Which tense?

[edit]

When is it okay to switch to past tense for deceased characters? I refer to Ted Kord, who's not coming back and is no longer a recurring character, but a 'recurred' character. -- Ipstenu (talk|contribs) 04:49, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You say that Ted has died when you discuss the issue where the chicks go to his grave. You only use past tense when the event is past in relation to the story you are discussing. On the other hand, if you are discussing the entire series, you use the present tense because he is alive for most of it. If you feel his death needs to be mentioned, you can say something like, "After Ted dies, the chicks visit his grave. --Chris Griswold () 05:28, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've attempted on several occasions to edit the Kord/Blue Beetle section to state that he is currently dead (even mentioning the issues), but it keeps getting deleted. Quidam65 18:01, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Judomaster/Katana

[edit]

When Oracle says "We need someone who can handle a crowd without any weapons that could show up on a metal detector", doesn't that exclude Katana and her (presumably metal) katana? --Pentasyllabic 16:56, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, Oracle specifically calls her Judomaster when she and Huntress knock out the guards. --Pentasyllabic 17:01, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Correct. If anyone still needs convincing, [1] MarkSutton 17:28, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Did she call anyone else by their actual name? I think she used codes for all of them, didn't she? I think that's Katana's current costume. I'll have to take a look at the issue when Ig et home. --Chris Griswold () 17:40, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Add Black Alice?

[edit]

Feb. solicits say she joins —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.90.20.81 (talk) 15:38, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would wait until the issue is actually published, since it is coming up soon, and we see what happens. She should probably be mentioned as a recurring character at least, but let's see how she's incorporated in so she's put in the right place. DeathQuaker (talk) 14:28, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Publishing History

[edit]

It seems like the first 2 paperbacks were released a couple years before the rest (one source says 1999, not 2002). There also seems to be a different publisher for the first 2 (Titan books ?), although they were also released by DC. Clarification would be helpful. As an aside I much prefer the layout of this article to Nightwing. Setitup (talk) 02:33, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New 52 Cover

[edit]

The Cover image should represent the new 52 series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elcor101 (talkcontribs) 16:08, 29 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why?
Because it is the current series? (And I'm really blanking on any other reason since article is set up on a real world POV.) That really skews things in a way inappropriate for a Wikipedia article.
