Proposed change to Harris primary topic

[edit]

At present if you type "Harris" into the wikipedia search box you are taken to the Isle of Harrises entry! As there are many uses of the word Harris it has been proposed to change this so that when you type "Harris" you are taken to the Harris (disambiguation) page instead.

If you support/oppose this move or have any comments please add your input to the Harris Talk page.

In Cities and Towns, a link referring to a place in Harris County called Mulberry Grove, redirects to a place called Mulberry Grove Plantation near Savannah, hundreds of miles from Harris County. The only sign I can find of such a place in Harris County is a road; if someone creates a page specifically about the place in Harris County and a disambiguation page to distinguish it from the plantation, there would be some justification for listing it as a "town" on this page. In the meantime, I've removed it. ak4mc (talk) 04:03, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Claim In History Section

[edit]

It is noted that the January 1912 lynching in this county of Dusky Crutchfield was the first instance in Georgia of a woman being a victim; however, according to the former website BEFORE THE NEEDLES, there were several incidents antedating this: one in October 1884, another in July 1886, a third in November 1906 and one case in May 1907 with a mother and daughter dying at the hands of mob violence.

I do not propose to dispute the edits made on the basis of the article published in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, as I am uncertain how reliable the source I cite may be.
