Stubb?

[edit]

Should this be marked as a stubb. Would be nice with a list of artists in this hall of fame. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 88.88.89.36 (talk) 17:27, 12 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Done.(Trampton 11:48, 12 March 2007 (UTC)).[reply]

I think the whole guitar center story reads like an AD. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.80.254.7 (talkcontribs) 05:45, 2 July 2007

Added link to inducted artists. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.222.175.50 (talkcontribs) 13:45, 27 October 2008

Clearly an add

[edit]

The nature and quality of this company has changed so dramatically since they went public and yet there is no discussion or criticism of that change; I'd like to to see a criticism section so folks who have had really awful GC experiences can share them. 207.114.139.254 (talk) 20:56, 6 May 2008 (UTC)BigOldHarry in San Diego[reply]

I can understand that people would want a place to discuss issues and critisms of Guitar Center but is this really the place for it? I was under the impression that Wikipedia was supposed to be akin to an online encyclopedia. If that is its working definition then the items listed about GC should be empirical facts without a positive or negative stance. There are many places on the net where criticisms about GC are welcome. Ansuz82 (talk) 20:16, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose that the article Music & Arts Center be merged into this article Guitar Center. Music & Arts Center is a subsidiary and does not appear to be individually notable. A similar conclusion was recently reached regarding Musician's Friend, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Musician's Friend. Comments? --MelanieN (talk) 23:21, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Since no one has objected, I am going ahead with the merger. --MelanieN (talk) 00:02, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, Musicians Friend actually was individually notable. It's a shame their article was merged. synthfiend (talk) 01:18, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It sat for what, 75 days? That was sufficient time. Feel free to expand it in this article, if it gets too long it can easily be split out. tedder (talk) 01:43, 9 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose merge: A merge template seems to have been added back in 2016, but there was not further discussion. The Music & Arts Centre still seem active (and growing); given their history, and the expanded article (since 2011 when this was last discussed), an the independent references now on the page, a merge seems unnecessary. Debt and Bankruptcy?

[edit]

Should we have a section for the enormous debt of guitar center? They're under over 2 billion dollars. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.184.9.64 (talk) 15:28, 30 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
