That sounds a bit strange to me, in light of the fact that later another asteroid did get the name Zappa. That one, according to the JPL data-base is named after some astronomer, not Frank Zappa, but anyway, the argument was just about the name.

Maybe Scalia was just afraid that might be a problem, or maybe the IAU changed their policy later, when they needed thounsands more minor planet names?--ospalh (talk) 11:00, 22 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
