Hi Fabio, I was reading the discussion on the Vfd page regarding The lies that men tell. I don't know if you are new to Wikipedia, but since this is the first post on your talk page, I guess I should welcome you ! You can sign your posts by typing four tildes ~~~~. This will get replaced by your name and date-time after you submit.

Gradually Wikipedians get to realize that "Wikipedia aims to be a repository of all knowledge in the world" is a very generic statement with a lot of conditions attached ! Jay 11:20, 9 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Discussion Board

[edit]

Wikipedia is not paper, so there are not the limitations in size which traditional encyclopedias would have. Wikipedia is constantly being expanded with around 3000 new articles a day.

I'm not sure how your idea of a History Facts Discussion Board fits into this. Our sites use wikis, which I don't believe are currently the best way to have discussions, although LiquidThreads might change that if it ever comes into existence. Are you suggesting that this be a separate project, or that people do this within Wikipedia? If the latter, I don't think it's a good idea, since discussions should focus purely on improving the articles, not just on people giving their view for unrelated reasons. If you want to suggest it as a new project, then meta:talk:proposals for new projects might be a place to find out whether there is any interest in this. However, for it to be a Wikimedia project, you would need to explain how you think it meets the Foundation's goals. Angela. 23:44, Nov 22, 2004 (UTC)

I have read your comment

[edit]

I am afraid that you misunderstand what this project is all about. There is no "his" or "yours" articles here, they are public and open for collaboration. Also, please make sure your own point of view (POV) does not show in your contributions, they have to be NPOV (neutral POV). Good luck, friend. Humus sapiensTalk 01:33, 23 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Yasser Arafat

[edit]

Hi Fabio. You are cutting off large sections of the Yasser Arafat article with your edits. Also, please propose changes to the article in Talk: first, as the article his highly contentious. Jayjg 23:35, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Hi Fabioburch, I reverted your changes once here [1] because the second half of the article was deleted (probably by accident I now realize). Please don't be angry, and do come back : ) The first person who replaced you was HistoryBuffEr who regularly wholesale replaces the Arafat article and several other articles with his personal version. We also get regular vandals who replace the article with profanity, so between HB and other vandals, this article does get reverted a lot, and yes it does make progress difficult and somewhat frustrating. 67.181.181.78 18:45, 30 Nov 2004 (UTC)

The article Dario Di Martino has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced for seven years, unsuccessful politician. There does appear to be a target shooter of the same name, and maybe even a manufacturer, but I can't find reliable sourcing for this fellow, and the claims don't seem to rise to WP:POLITICIAN.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. joe deckertalk to me 01:05, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
