53.6% H2O

Why does it say that the molar composition of seawater is 53.6% H2O? Sources indicate it is around 96.5% water. 74.102.212.172 (talk) 23:31, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Odd inline citation...

Hello,

In the Origin and history section, there is an inline citation in an unusual format, sans the arrows...

Ocean salinity has been stable for billions of years, most likely as a consequence of a chemical/tectonic system which removes as much salt as is deposited; for instance, sodium and chloride sinks include evaporite deposits, pore-water burial, and reactions with seafloor basalts. ---> [15]:133 <---

But under citation #15, page 133 is supposedly not within the cited range. How can this be fixed? I have never worked with citations before.
