Chemical diagrams

[edit]

I can't believe that nobody's welcomed you yet! SOmetimes I think that I'm the only person working here. ;)

As for the chemical diagrams, I use a simple program that I got on a CD back when I took organic chemistry. You should be able to find some kind of shareware that will do that for you. If not, you could probably request what you need on the village pump, and somebody will make it for you.

If you have any other questions, or need any other kind of help at all, feel free to ask! – ClockworkSoul 03:30, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Sign Language user info boxes

[edit]

Hello Luxdormiens. Please don't change the infoboxes without discussing it first, and please don't make widespread changes to a set of related articles without investigating the implications — especially when dealing with templates, as they are used on multiple pages and an error can have far-reaching consequences.

I did hope that the instructions on the Wikipedia:Babel page, as well as the instructions on the Category:User sgn page should make it clear how to use these infoboxes. I know you read these instructions, because you edited one of the instructions for the correct template syntax. Unfortunately, your changed text now points users to a non-existent template — {{user sgn-N}} — and against the standard format for native user language templates, which is user xx (without the -N, see for example user en for native English speakers). If the instructions are not clear, please suggest a way to improve it on the relevant discussion page.

You have also broken the parameter feature of these boxes that allowed people to specify the particular sign language they use, thus changing over 30 user pages from how the user intended their language box to look. I would appreciate it if you would revert your recent changes, and discuss future proposed changes on Category talk:User sgn.

Cheers. ntennis 08:01, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to leave u a personal note saying thanks for being open and co-operative. Sorry about the blunt tone above. Have a nice day :) ntennis 10:00, 9 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deaf WikiProject

[edit]

Hello :)

There are now eight names on the project. What are your thoughts on if (and when) we should make it official, and move it from my namespace? Please respond to the open forum at User talk:Ntennis/Deaf WikiProject proposal. Thanks! ntennis 02:14, 15 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have noticed that you are affiliated with sign language in one way or another. The article on CODAs needs quite a bit of work, and I think is an important article to have as a part of Wikipedia. I would like to invite you to participate in making it a better article. — Esprit15d 20:00, 21 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Chinese mythology

[edit]

Yes, if enough people vote on it it will become the official article improvement drive. However in my experience just being nominated on the list and staying there a long time usually helps articles improve significantly. Cheers, jacoplane 13:35, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Request for edit summary

[edit]

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 44% for major edits and 83% for minor edits. (Based on the last 144 major and 41 minor edits in the article namespace.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 06:30, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deaf-mute

[edit]

Hi Luxdormiens. I'm seeking opinions and possible support for an issue in which I'm in a debate with other Wikipedians. I'm trying to change indiscrimant use of the term "deaf-mute" in describing deaf people in general. To see some comments related to the issue, see Talk:The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, as well as my own Talk page, User talk:Ward3001. You can also follow the links to other discussions. Right now I'm about the only person addressing the issue because deaf people are such a small minority. Other Wikipedians, with apparently no prior knowledge of the issue, are reverting my edits. If you're interesting in expressing your opinion, feel free to do so. If you wish to discuss further please leave me a message on my Talk page. Thanks. Ward3001 17:35, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Deaf

[edit]

I notice you are a member of WikiProject Deaf. You may also add {{User WikiProject Deaf}}, which also adds a userbox to your page, or [[Category:WikiProject Deaf participants]] to your userpage. If you do, it will list you in Category:WikiProject Deaf participants. Taric25 19:59, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Wish bracelet

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Wish bracelet, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. —G716 <T·C> 17:04, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

American Sign Language language listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect American Sign Language language. Since you had some involvement with the American Sign Language language redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. -- Tavix (talk) 04:38, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
