You've altered the India page to include a very large map. The file does have its source mentioned, but the website that it comes from specifically says that all rights are reserved for the copyright of the site. Do you have specific permission from that site to upload the image? David Newton 05:55, 20 Apr 2004 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:ECBC.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ECBC.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

A tag has been placed on Energy Manager Training, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. GargoyleMT 12:30, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I removed this label and replaced it with an advertising warning. You need to stop having this web site's link added to other articles, and you need to substantially rewrite the Energy Manager Training article so it looks like a good article here. That means using a Template:Infobox Organization and probably cutting down on the graphics. If you don't submit copyright rationales for your images, the latter will be taken care of for you automatically, as they will be deleted. --GargoyleMT 12:47, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:BEELabel.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. bluemask (talk) 12:43, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:BEE-standbyPower.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 07:47, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on International Conference 2-3 April 2008, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read our the guidelines on spam as well as the Wikipedia:Business' FAQ for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Roleplayer (talk) 14:44, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Energy Manager Training, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Dear Hemant,

Thanks for attending the English WikiWorkshop at Jadavpur University, on 25th Jan 2012. I hope you found the session interesting and informative - and that you picked up some basics about how to write (or, as we call it, "Edit") Wikipedia.

I am writing to ask if you need any help on anything related to Wikipedia. I realise that there is so much covered in workshops that it's a little difficult to remember all the points. Wikipedia is a little hard to understand when you begin editing, but with a little bit of practice, it's really easy and amazing fun! Just let me know if you are struggling with anything and I'll help you out.

You might find these links useful:

- You can access the English Wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org
- Please go to this page (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:UserLogin&returnto=Main+Page) to log in to your user account. It will help you to keep track of all of your contributions.
- When I started editing, I used to struggle with which article to work on. Here are some suggestions for you:

- You can always find more articles by looking through Computer Science related articles from Category:Computer Science.

Please feel free to contact me at subha@wikimedia.org. I'm here to hold your hands and will be your online buddy.

Happy Editing!
