Final Fantasy

[edit]

Hi! Your contributions are welcome, but are a bit too short for inclusion. Please add a bit more info to your future articles. Thanks and have fun! - Lucky 6.9 05:02, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for trying to be helpful. Do you feel the power of your l33t mod skills? Did you even bother to _ask_ about my intentions of filling them in, quite possibly in the near future? You point to no quality examples of what you think are articles of appropriate length. You cite no guidelines about what should, or should not be here. You act virtually as an oracle, exposing no hint about your judgement process, nor what you expect me to do to satisfy it.
Your help would be much more helpful if it contained, well, help.
As it stands, I have finished writing about summons, but they will be posted elsewhere instead, lest the stars not align for a favourable reading. I would have prefered to have fleshed out the stubs now, instead of responding to this, but alas, you have made your choice, as have I.
Good day, sir. Magic5ball 05:23, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Let's not reduce ourselves to personal attacks. If you look at the welcome notice that was left prior to my note, you'll see that it is a wealth of information as to how to create good, first articles. Click on any of the links to see what I mean. I didn't feel that it was necessary to state anything beyond what I did since the answers are here on the page. As for my "acting as an oracle," I'm doing no such thing beyond following administrative procedure. Sorry if that sounds grandiose, but I assure you, it isn't. If I wasn't clear, I apologize for the misunderstanding and hope to clear it up. Please don't let this minor clash scare you off. - Lucky 6.9 21:23, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Don't kid yourself. If following the scary stuff in RfA for a couple years didn't scare me off, your actions here certainly won't.
Regarding your comments: I can't read your mind, but I won't hold that against you. I can only go so far in trying to figure out what you mean (or intended to mean) by what you actually say. In this case, you gave me very little to work with.
Consider how many potential contributors leave _before_ you get a chance to explain your actions and concise messages to them. Magic5ball 05:59, 27 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that {{Unreferenced}} should be used only on articles that have no sources. The {{Refimprove}} template is appropriate for articles with some sources but not enough. You also might want to use {{Unreferencedsect}} or {{Citations}} instead. Thanks--BirgitteSB 14:52, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wadsworth

[edit]

I like your article on the Wadsworth prism mounting. Good job!

Don't do this, though: Wikipedia articles are always about a thing, not the thing's name. Other things that share the same name are covered in their own articles, or not at all. Where necessary, we add navigational links (dablinks) at the top of an article to direct readers to other articles with similar names, if they have ended up at the wrong article by mistake.--Srleffler (talk) 03:45, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Stocks and Flows.svg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Stocks and Flows.svg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:06, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Add-on

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Add-on, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Your recent talk page comments on Relief Line (Toronto) were not added to the bottom of the page. New discussion page messages and topics should always be added to the bottom. Your message may have been moved. In the future you can use the "New section" link in the top right. For more details see the talk page guidelines. It is never a good idea to make a necro-post.

It is better to create a new topic instead if the previous topics are at least a year old. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 01:24, 6 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tribal Chiefs Ventures moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Tribal Chiefs Ventures, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.

At this point, the article failed WP:NORG as there is no in-depth coverage of the organization. However, the head of the company is getting some coverage as his name appeared in searches and his comment is sought out by news sites. Therefore, the organization may have notability, but work must still be done before it can be placed in the mainspace. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 02:59, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, no user:SunDawn. A page with 50 inbound links from WP is not non-notable. Hiding Indigenous stubs is part of why there is little awareness of Indigenous topics and organization. Your actions here are part of the problem you're complaining about. Magic5ball (talk) 03:06, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't understand what you mean. Amount of inbound links that the page have didn't show its notability. In my opinion, the references you have shown does not show enough notability of the company. The company must have in-depth coverage from other sources that are independent from the company, if I recall correctly, the references you are using are from web pages that are also related to the company. The reason I draftify the article instead of PROD are I believe there are sources out there that can be added, but as for now, it failed WP:NORG. Blanking the page won't solve the problem. If you want another user to take a look at it, restore the page to whatever it was before blanking, and move the article back into mainspace or ask for the draft to be reviewed, other editors will take a look at it. I am not "hiding Indigenous stubs". ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 03:13, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please educate yourself about Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. Your way of applying rules has a systematically discriminatory effect on Indigenous content in Wikipedia and in broader consciousness. You are reinforcing under-representation of information about Indigenous information through your actions here, which means there will *always* be fewer sources about Indigenous organizations at large. If you can't see that, I'm not investing any more time into you, or into improving wikipedia. At this point, I don't care if anyone else picks up or edits the article. You've lost your entitlement to any more of my time. FOAD. Magic5ball (talk) 03:19, 21 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
