Just giving this page a bit of a kick start before I start researching its origins a bit more. I remember the cinema area used to be referred to something in the news similar to "cinema district" but possibly not?

I'd like to get a picture of the cinemas and town hall. What do people think? - Ta bu shi da yu 13:27, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)

good idea. start with a picture of the cinema area, then if there is room (when text gets expanded) add a town hall picture. clarkk 13:38, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
of course the town hall picture could always go on the town hall article before it gets added to the george st. article clarkk 13:39, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Photo poll

[edit]

User:Ashton 29 has repeatedly changed the headline photo. Readers, please vote if you can be bothered. --PalaceGuard008 (Talk) 14:47, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Repeatedly? As in, twice? Ashton 29 (talk) 00:34, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Original photo - bright, wide perspective, shows retail, government and high rise - the character of George Street captured in one image, in typical Sydney sunshine.
User:Ashton 29's photo - dark, dreary, narrow perspective, mostly showing a shiny footpath. Can barely tell it's a photo of George Street. Doesn't show much of anything other than puddles.
