I don't think that third paragraph belongs here. AGMs and EGMs are part of the internal business of the organization, not really appropriate for an encyclopaedia.

Having said that, what I'd like to see following the second paragraph is some information with dates about IOFFL's achievements.

  • 1. The introduction of flat-rate dialup
  • 2. The introduction of broadband services from other carriers which the flat-rate enabled
  • 3. The lobbying for the Group Data Scheme which led to both the Government's Group Broadband Scheme and the setting up of the Group Data Scheme Society

I don't have the dates for the FRIACO though. Evertype 11:38, 2004 Oct 20 (UTC)

I really included that as a starter for the history of the organisation. Since the information is already in the public domain, I don't see any problem with having it in the Wiki. The achievements bit is something I would have liked to included, but decided not to (at this point), because I can't guarantee I'd either be neutral or accurate when writing it. --Seamustheseagull 11:44, 20 Oct 2004 (UTC)
I wouldn't use the word "achievements", as unfortunately nothing can be directly attributed to IrelandOffline. I'd suggest something like "It is widely believed that IrelandOffline has had a major impact on the marketplace, with many new products and services coming to fruition after strong lobbying by the organisation." "that because of increasing ignorance of the organisation" - I don't know what this means: apathy to? hostility to? rroddy
Changed that. Makes the sentence a bit long-winded, but it makes proper sense now. Seamustheseagull 15:45, 20 Oct 2004 (UTC)

That second paragraph is really internal politics, whether or not in the public domain. It's not relevant at this stage in this article, because the achievements aren't there, so it lacks relevance. I'm going to delete it for now. I'll take Dahamsta's suggestion as a basis for an achievements section. Don't be afraid, Seamustheseagull, of writing: if things aren't neutral or accurate enough, people will fix them. Evertype 20:12, 2004 Oct 20 (UTC)
