This is an endpoint.

Much work still needs to be done on this article. Though it covers the biochemical aspect of secretion well, it doesn't talk about the importance of secretion to the function of an organism. It should mention examples of secretion too. Rob 05:00, 17 Oct 2004 (UTC)

I think the first section headings should be changed to something like "Secretion in Eukaryotic Cells", with a "Mechanism" subsection with minor changes, and a "Secrection in human physiology" (or similar) subsection that specifically deals with secretions from human organs and cell types. New Diagrams

[edit]

Hello, I created some new diagrams. They are just meant to be a fancy-artsy rendition of secretion and not overly factual of detailed; that being said I did try to be as accurate as possible. Any ideas? Comments? I like the left-right alternating layout, breaks things up a bit, but I don't know what the SOP is for image positioning Adenosinetalk 04:56, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agrobacterium tumefaciens doesn't use T4SS to "introduce the Ti plasmid and proteins into the host". It transfers the T-DNA which is part of the Ti-Plasmid. This T-DNA contains information for opine synthesis as well as cytokinin synthesis and auxin synthesis. 91.42.255.3 (talk) 15:41, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

rated top as high school/SAT biology content - tameeria 15:08, 17 February 2007 (UTC) This article needs to be rewritten in non-technical terms so that the average high school kid understands what it is talking about. It only talks about cellular secretion and needs biological context, sections on secretory organs (e.g. kidney) and differences between water- and land-dwellers etc. - tameeria 19:57, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
