Lake Hamilton?

[edit]

>>> Lake Rotoroa is the Maori name of a small lake within the city of Hamilton often referred to as Lake Hamilton. <<<

Huh? I live there and have never heard of it called Lake Hamilton. The name of the lake is "Lake Rotoroa" - the Maori name for the lake is simply "Rotoroa", translating to "Lake Old". To describe both the lake and the surrounding Lake Domain and Innes Common reserves, the term "Hamilton Lake" is often used.i c u r i t e 04:27, 14 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
