What is this fence actually called? Googling on "Ceuta barrier" gets just 34 hits of which all seem to be mirrors of us or links to mirrors of us (except one porn site, which has thrown it in as random garbage to confuse Google). Securiger 12:46, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

It is called border
The linked article calls it a "border fence". Jayjg (talk) 16:31, 31 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Error in the number?

[edit]

I think the figure of €300 million is wrong. How can it be so high when the cost of a similar fence at Melilla just cost €30 million. Could it be an extra zero was added by error?

Remove tricky reference

[edit]

I have removed the reference relating the fence to the drowning of the illegal immigrants. If there is any responsible for that, those are the immigration laws or, more exactly, the illegal immigrants who decide to break them at their own risk. It sounds heartless and I don't feel myself comfortable writing it, but that is the fact. And, in any case, the boating people would continue to exist (and sinkings and deaths as well) even if the fence was wide open. Mountolive 02:14, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have just added this image of the Ceuta Border Fence and have removed the image request tag at the top. If this was in error, please undo the removal and let me know the proper procedure.
