Sinn Féin

[edit]

Ehm, why do you call Sinn Féin a terrorist group? I mean if Sinn Féin is a terrorist group, why aren't their leaders arrested right now? This "terrorist group" gets invited to talk to Blair, I thought the british did not negiotiate with terrorists???? Superdude99 12:16, 22 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sinn Fein has had constant dealings with the IRA and although they deny it the evidence makes what they say seem very shaky to me. Of course this is my own opinion and others may interpret what they say differently. The reason why the British Government negiotiate is the fact that it would make things worse by using force. As we have seen in Iraq and Afghanistan the use of force can cause the terrorism to be worse for a time. With Northern Ireland being so close to home the danger will be too great.

I don't actually agree with everything the government says and I they are often hypocritical over these kinds of subjects.
