Can you provide the source for your comment on Quebec's reaction to her winning the Governor General award? It seems to me that it is based on heresay and bad journalism, which is rather common for all things relating to Quebec in English. -- Mathieugp 07:06, 22 Dec 2003 (UTC)

The controversy is mentioned in The Oxford Companion to Canadian Literature, Second Edition (p. 565).--Victoriagirl 17:35, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
"bad journalism, which is rather common for all things relating to Quebec in English"? In the French Wikipedia, Huston got a category putting her to Quebec, which is pure nonsense.

"Catégories : Écrivain canadien francophone hors Québec". The Wikipedians of the Latin Wikipedia are following them. Huston has nothing to do with Quebec but my French is not good enough to clear the facts on their discussion page. --13Peewit (talk) 23:35, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Translation

[edit]

Just wanted to mention that it appears that Histoire d'Omaya has been translated into English. I searched for it on a UN translation website and found it there.

Bad Math?

[edit]

It says that the author has '25 fiction publications' of which 13 are original works and 11 are her translations of her own work. I don't know how the numbers work out in French, but in English that's only 24 books. 67.220.13.11 (talk) 13:36, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Period?

[edit]

Why on earth does the article say "period: 21st century" when most of her work is from the 20th century?? I didn't change it because maybe there is a rationale I don't get, but absent clarification I guess I'll correct it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.74.30.118 (talk) 18:48, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
